PowerBlack Figure-8 (C7)
MK Toughplug to silver-plated Figure-8 (C7) connector, with ferrite core
The PowerBlack figure-8 cable uses an MK Toughplug with ultrasonically cleaned and hand-polished brass pins, and a silver-plated figure-8 connector, which is also known as a C7 connector. This type of connector is used on many audio-visual devices such as Sky boxes, games consoles, CD/DVD/Blu-Ray players and numerous other devices. Note that we now use a blue-bodied figure-8 connector, of the same size and style as our IEC connectors on the PowerBlack IEC cable, but the slim-line connector as shown in the photo is still available to special order.
The improvement that it will bring to your equipment is considerable - pictures become crisper and colours more vibrant when the cable is used on a DVD player or Sky box, and music will sound more detailed and instruments better defined when the cable is used on an amp or CD player.

Every PowerBlack cable has a double shield arrangement of a dense tinned copper braid and a dielectric layer in order to give excellent electrical shielding characteristics, and comes fitted with a ferrite core as standard in order to suppress any high-frequency interference that is already present in your mains supply. These ferrites are an extremely effective upgrade, and are also available for purchase separately in our DIY Parts section, along with our silver-plated Blue IEC connector.
PowerBlack Figure-8 cables are available in any length, with a wide choice of mains plugs. We fit an MK Toughplug with ultrasonically cleaned and hand-polished brass pins as standard, but can also fit mains plugs for Europe (Schuko type), Australia and the US, as well as male IEC connectors if you need an IEC-IEC cable. In addition, we hold several silver-plated versions of these plug types in stock, so please ask if you have a specific request.
